What is the weather like today?

 Task Description: Today during rotations I learnt word that describe the weather in Maori. Here is how you say, What is the weather like today? You say Kei te pehea te ahua o te rangi?. What would you is the weather like where you are. 

Taha Wairua

Task description: Today I strengthened my Taha Wairua I did this by learning how to show the word Aotearoa in NZSL. 

Ikan maths Test

 Task Description: Kia Ora I'm Jackie and today I did an ikan maths test as you can see in the picture above. Also the next time I do maths I am gonna try to concentrate more on my maths because for the maths test I did some of the questions were blank. 

Taha Tinana

Task Description: Kia Ora, Nǐ hǎo and Greetings to all, this morning I learned even more about what is happening for this week as you may know this week is New Zealand Sign Language Week here is a presentation for what I learnt for this morning. One of task's I did was about strengthening Taha tinana, this is basically working on fitness and exercises to keep fit.

Learning New Zealand Sign Language ( NZSL )

Kia Ora this week is NZ Sign Language week I am very happy because learning NZ Sign Language (NZSL) could help you make better connections with friends and whanau who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Task description: Today I learnt how to do New Zealand sign language here is some photos of me saying what my name is in sign language. 

Taha Tinana

 Task description: This morning I learnt how to say some exercises in Maori to help and encourage others to take better care of your Taha Tinana/physical body. The four exercises I put in my poster was running on the spot, push ups, star jumps/jumping jacks and rolling arms for some of the words I am not a hundred percent sure if there right.

Maori Language moment

 

In 1972 30,000 signatures were delivered to safeguard the Maori language.

Safeguard means to protect the Maori language needed to be protected. Why? 

Three reasons why I think it needed to be protected.

1. The first reason is because the language could have been lost.

2. The second reason is because it is part of people's life.

3. My last but not least reason is because it is a prime language in New Zealand.
